Project examination and site visit

Project objectives and specific needs

The project objectives, the planned type of use and the budget are agreed together with the customer. Every project is unique, and so it is fundamental to acquire full knowledge of its dimensions and the customer’s specific needs and tastes. The most important requirements are established during the first meeting and site visit, so that all the information needed for a thorough assessment of the projects will be there from the very first draft.

Site Visit

Site Visit

Site visit and architectural survey

A site visit is undertaken to assess the condition and layout of the rooms involved: the building’s passive acoustic requirements and construction features, the layout of the utility systems and the potential, inside and outside, for locating them in compliance with the relevant legal requirement, are all assessed. The architectural survey provides the information needed for design of the ground plans, vertical cross-sections and perspective drawings.

Predictive acoustic impact assessment

It is important to ensure that the new facility will comply with the local Noise Planning Policies and the legal limits on noise emissions and exposure levels. The predictive assessment is made in accordance with the UNI 11143 standard, parts 1 – 6, depending on the type of operation planned. The aim is to establish compatibility with the relevant regulations in advance, and plan any measures required.
